Samsung’s One UI 5.1: What Features Can We Expect?

One UI 5.0 started rolling out recently for Samsung devices. One UI 5.0 was based on the Android 13 with Samsung’s own customization and features. The update started rolling out for premium segment Samsung phones like the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S21 series as well as for tablets, including Tab S8 Series and Tab S7 series. There are reports that Samsung is working on One UI 5.1, which can launch next year with the Galaxy S23 series. 

Features You Can Expect In One UI 5.1

One UI 5.1 is already in work and will come with Android 13. There aren’t many features and upgrade that users will see in One UI 5.1, and will be a minor upgrade from One UI 5.0. Yes, there will be performance improvements with this one, and it will fix bugs from One UI 5.0. Given below are some features that you can expect from the update-

  • The company could bring multi-user profiles back in the One UI 5.1 update. This feature was available in the beta version, but it was removed in the stable update. Though tablets still have this feature in the One UI 5, you won’t see multi-user profiles on phones. One UI 5.1 can bring back the user profile option for phones. 
  • There will be system improvements on the One UI 5.1. Samsung works on system improvements and better performance with every update it provides. 
  • There will also be added camera features. Moreover, camera performance will also be improved with this update. 
  • Samsung focuses on visual changes with every One UI update. We saw changes in the user interface with One UI 5, and there’s a chance that One UI 5.1 can also have some user interface changes; though the chances are low, it can happen.

One UI 5.1 is expected to come with the Samsung S23 series, which will be launched in January or February of 2023. After the launch of the series, the update will also come to all the phones that are currently running on One UI 5 or are supposed to get the One UI 5 update.
