Samsung has finally replaced Samsung Pay with Samsung Wallet. If you own a Samsung device then you might already know about Samsung’s in-house payment app, i.e., Samsung Pay. Samsung recently announced that they would upgrade Samsung Pay to Samsung Wallet, and now they have done it. Samsung Wallet will replace Samsung Pay as well as the Samsung Pass (password manager app on Samsung devices). The upgrade was teased by Samsung through their social media channels, which confirmed the launch date of Samsung Wallet in India to be 31 Jan 2023.
This makes it easier for users to access their payment methods such as their cards, UPI accounts, digital wallets as well as their passwords all in one place. Samsung Wallet is now available to users for the update, and users can install the app from the Play Store on their devices. For users who were already having Samsung Pay, their app will automatically be updated to Samsung Wallet. After the update, Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass will no longer work as separate apps and users will have to use them within the Samsung Wallet.
