Google Pixel 6a, launched a few days back, is reported to have issues with the fingerprint scanner. The phone is powered by Google’s Tensor chipset and secured by the Titan M2 chip. Everything was fine until people started facing issues with the Fingerprint scanner on the device.
The issue was first reported by Beebom, saying that the phone unlocks even with the fingers that are not registered on the device. Later, Geekyranjit also made a video reporting the same issue, stating that the device unlocks with his left thumb, which was not even registered on the device.
Google Pixel 6A Fingerprint Scanner issues are serious and privacy concerns for many people. This flaw can compromise security as anyone can unlock the device when left open.
Google is yet to report anything about this issue. We don’t know when Google will fix it, but till then, it will remain a privacy issue. Also, other bugs have been reported by users, like heating issues on the device.
Bugs like this shouldn’t be expected from a high-end phone like this. Let’s see when Google releases an OTA update fixing this issue.
