Re-Add Fingerprint On PC

  • Press Windows + I key combo to open Settings on your PC.
  • On the left sidebar select Account and then select the Sign-in options.

Update/Reinstall Drivers

As we discussed above, outdated drivers may also be the reason behind facing this issue. You should try updating the fingerprint sensor drivers to fix the fingerprint sensor not working in Windows 11. You can update the drivers by following the steps given below-

  • Open Start Menu, search for Device Manager, and open it.
  • Then expand the Biometric devices section by double-clicking on it.
  • Now select the fingerprint driver and right-click on it, and then click on Update driver.

  • Press Windows + X key combo and click on Device Manager.
  • Here double-click on Biometric Devices section to expand it.
  • Right-click on the fingerprint driver, and click on Uninstall device. Then click Uninstall to confirm.

  • After uninstalling the driver, restart your PC and the driver will automatically be reinstalled.
  • Now, check if the issue is encountered or not.

Update Windows

If the above method didn’t resolve the issue then try to update your Windows. You can update Windows by following the steps given below-

  • Press Windows + I key combo to open the Settings.
  • Then select Windows Update on the left sidebar and click on Check for updates button.
