Samsung Galaxy S22 And Galaxy S22+ Launched In India: Price, Specifications And More

On 17 February Samsung launched their flagship Galaxy S22 series in India. Three flagship smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. have been launched in India. This article discusses the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ and the specifications they have.

Samsung Galaxy S22 And Galaxy S22+: Price And Availability

Samsung Galaxy S22 price has been set at Rs. 72,999 for the base variant having 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the Samsung Galaxy S22 is priced at Rs.76,999 in India. 

Talking about the Galaxy S22+, the base variant of the phone, i.e. 8GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 84,999, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs.88,999.

The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will be available in Green, Phantom Black, and Phantom White color options. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is available for pre-order, and the details about the availability of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series are yet to be announced in India.

Samsung Galaxy S22: Specification

Galaxy S22 comes with the latest 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and is paired with 8GB RAM. Talking about the firmware, the phone runs on Android 12 with OneUI 4.1 out of the box. The Galaxy S22 comes with a 6.1-inch FHD+AMOLED 2X display having a variable refresh rate of 48-120Hz. Moreover, the display is protected by a Gorilla Glass Victus+ panel.

Coming to the camera, the phone comes with a triple rear camera setup. The main camera of the phone is a 50MP sensor which comes with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens and optical image stabilization. Moreover, there is also a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera. The front camera is a 10MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens. 

Connectivity options including 5G, 4G, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6, GPS/A-GPS as well as USB Type-C port are available. The phone comes with a 3,700mAH battery with support for 25W wired charging as well as 15W wireless charging. The phone also has support for Wireless PowerShare with which you can charge other devices having support for wireless charging. 

Samsung Galaxy S22 + : Specification

Specifications of Galaxy S22 and S22+ are almost the same, except for some differences here and there. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Out of the box, you will see Android 12 on the phone with One UI 4.1 on the top.

Galaxy S22+ features a bigger 6.6inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display having a variable refresh rate of 48-120Hz like that of the Galaxy S22. The front camera and the rear camera of the phone are the same. 

The connectivity options and the sensors onboard are as same as Galaxy S22+, except the support for Ultra-wideband that you will see on the Galaxy S22+. The phone packs a 4,500 mAH battery which is bigger than the S22. Moreover, it has support for 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. You can also charge other phones having wireless charging support through the Wireless PowerShare feature.
