Apple has launched MacBook Air(2022) and the 13-Inch MacBook Pro(2022), which will be powered by the M2 chip. Both the MacBooks are the successor to the previous versions powered by the M1 chipset. The new MacBook Air (2022) and the MacBook Pro (2022) were announced at WWDC 2022 alongside the M2 chip. MacBook Air And MacBook Pro: Price And Availability

Coming to the price and availability, the Apple MacBook Air(2022) starting price is set at $1,199 (which estimates to be Rs. 93,300), and the Apple MacBook Pro starting price is set at $1,299 (which estimates to be Rs.1,01,000). The M2 chipset MacBook Air model will be available in Silver, Grey, Midnight, and Starlight Gold color options.

Both the laptops are available at the Apple Online Store for purchase. In India, both the MacBooks will be made available next month. Moreover, in India, the starting price of the MacBook Air is set at Rs.1,19,900, and the 13-inch MacBook Pro starting price is set at Rs 1,29,900.

Apple MacBook Air: Specifications And Features

The M2 chipset Apple MacBook Air(2022) is the refreshed version of the MacBook Air (2020) powered by the M1 chip. The new M2 Apple Silicon Chip offers 18% improved CPU performance and 35% improved GPU performance. It has a 1.9 times faster CPU and 2.3 times faster GPU when compared to the 10-core processors or the competitors. Alongside, the M2 chip also has Secure Enclave, media engine and neural engine. It also allows users to connect the external display with 6K resolution.

The MacBook Air(2022) comes with up to 2TB of SSD storage and up to 24GB of unified memory. MacBook Air comes with a 1080p camera. The newly launched MacBook Air (2022) comes with two USB Type-C/Thunderbolt 4 ports, one 3.5 mm headphone jack, and support for MagSafe Charging.

It comes with a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display. Apple says that the display has an increased size with thinner bezels. Apple claims that the new MacBook Air (2022) charges up to 50% in just 30 minutes with an optional 67W USB Type-C power adapter. Moreover, it offers 18 hours of battery backup with video playback on a single charge.

Apple MacBook Pro: Specifications And Features

MacBook Pro(2022) is powered by the new M2 chipset. It comes with up to 24GB of unified memory and up to 2TB of storage. The MacBook Pro(2022) comes with a 13-inch Liquid Retina Display and offers up to 500 nits of peak brightness with P3 color support. The MacBook Pro offers 20 hours of battery life for a single charge.
